This varietal is farmed throughout Piedmont and Italy, but it achieves its full potential in the Alba and Asti areas.
Intense, purple red colour. Strong aroma with hints of red fruit and spices. Full, well-balanced and pleasantly fresh taste with a long finish.
Barbera d’Asti is excellent with second courses of red meat or bushmeat such as boar stew of roast beef and mature cheese.
The vineyard where these grapes are farmed is located in Mombercelli. Its south-east facing position grants an excellent sun exposure.
