La Trava is a name tied to history, known by the great writer Beppe Fenoglio, who used to sit and meditate on episodes of the Second World War on this hill, located just before the village of Mango. Facts of the Resistance and country life were reported in the short story “The 23 days of Alba”. Mango village was the home of Partisan Johnny, whose story was narrated in the masterpiece by Fenoglio, “Partisan Johnny”, which is considered one of the most important Italian works of the 20^th century.
